Attila Steady Eddie

Attila Steady Eddie

Well here is the boy. I managed to catch him when he stood still for a sec….see his lttle harness. He is so cute.
Paul and I drove over to Denise and Chris to pick up Eddie this morning. The weather was awful, pouring with rain. Paul felt awful as he had ‘man flu’ but kindly came with me to do the directions.
We spent a wonderful couple of hours with Dee and Chris having puppy therapy. Here is Paul with a little chap who may need a home in mid Jan 09 – what do you think?

And here is Chris with two tiny girl puppies, with Eddie looking on, waiting for a chance to play.

Thanks for a lovely day Dee and Chris, and for entrusting your little Steady Eddie with us.

A puppy for Christmas

Friday, December 12th, 2008

I know they say you shouldn’t get a puppy at Christmas time but….at a meeting in London the other day I was offered the chance to have a 12 week old puppy for a few weeks over the holidays to provide new things for him to see as part of his preparation for learning to be a “diabetic alert and response dog”.

Well I couldn’t say no, could I?

Paul and I are going to meet Denise Hayes tomorrow to collect little “Eddie”.
Denise breeds Affenpinschers (monkey terriers), and they are small, black scruffy, live wires with bags of personality. Here is a picture of Denise’s first ever Affen, Maisie, still going strong. “She has a lot to answer for!” says Denise

I am so excited!!

Dusty, our boaty coalman, has just rung to see if we would like to give a home to “Little Legs” a 9 year old Corgi x Jack Russel. The owner’s new job means that the dog will be left alone for long periods of time. We will have a look and see what we can do….but only after Eddie has gone back. More news and lots of photos soon.
(This blog seems to be going in a number of directions….boaty stuff in the summer, dogs and wildlife all year, and then we have the family and friends stuff too. Should we try to organise this?)
